Our Process

First time building a custom home? We’ll walk by your side, explaining what needs to happen at every step and why. Even if you’ve worked with custom home builders before, we can guarantee this time will be different—and more fun. Here’s what you can expect from the Pendragon experience:

Discovery

Everyone says they listen. But at Pendragon, we take it to a different level. Designing with our team is a personal experience. You’ll meet with our design team, including owner Leslie Aberlin, to talk about your vision, your inspiration, your needs, your budget, and your lifestyle. Expect to talk a lot about yourself because we want to know your story.

Design

We don’t give you a handful of predetermined selections and call it “customized.” Your design will be grounded in your vision. We’ll explore different design options, pulling together the elements you like. Along the way, we’ll offer recommendations for ensuring your home supports how you live. Our in-house Design Center makes it easy to craft a signature palette that is truly yours.

Pricing Certainty

No need to worry over stingy builder-grade allowances or after-close sticker shock. We design to your budget, period. You can review the numbers at any time, right down to the bathroom faucets. When you sign off on your selections, that’s the final price. Unless you make a change, we will never come back to you asking for more money. And did we mention there’s no need to secure a construction loan? We’ve got it covered. You simply put down a deposit and we handle the rest.

Construction

Relationships matter in the home-building industry, and the quality of our homes illustrates why. Many of our trade partners have worked with us for a decade or longer. Our Origin Story

A woman-owned business, Pendragon Homes was launched in 2004 by Leslie Aberlin. After years of working in custom and production residential real estate, Leslie took a leap of faith on her own dream to be a different kind of luxury home builder. She set out to build a better process that would prioritize value over flash and the customer experience over profit. Inspired by her father and mother and their admiration for the historical King Arthur Pendragon, Leslie named her company Pendragon Homes.

We work from a round table of experts where everyone is a decision-maker in the area of their process.

More than two decades later, Leslie still meets with every single homeowner we work with. We still design homes for how our customers live. We even meet at a round table to create a home designed around you. We take pride in being at the forefront of the latest design trends and product innovation while serving as experienced guides to navigate the building process.
